Visiting the Queen of hills in India had to be a top notch experience, and I was absolutely thrilled to accept the invitation by Sterling Mussoorie for the weekend getaway.

Heard a lot about Sterling chain but never got a chance to experience their hospitality, and after googling the images of the one in Mussoorie, I couldn’t say No.

Surrounded by greenery in the mountains, the walk to the room felt like walking in the clouds and the rooms so breathable and lit up, it was exactly the space I needed for my mind. Not just the room but the view from the balcony was so dreamy that it felt like a happy place.

Already in love with the property and it was time to explore. Whenever I visit a new place, I like wandering in the city to see whats a regular evening idea of local people and whats the most visited cafe or the favorite cuisine that people have, for me its more about soaking the vibe of the place, and Sterling Mussoorie took care of any visit we wanted to make at a very nominal price either to The Mall road to try Chic Chocolates or the Church, Tibetan Market, Lovely Omlete or even a trek to Lambi Dehar Mines, and suddenly it was all so convenient to wander around without having to worry about the transport or any thing. They arrange a local person / guide who had a good knowledge about local area, eateries, about history.

Keeping the experience and the accommodation aside, I think food constitutes a major element when it comes to going to new places, and Sterling spoiled us with options.

Brekkie with a view anyone?

The chefs were so good and the staff so hospitable that they didn’t let us take any trouble. Even went through the pain of conducting a live session with chefs who made the local Gharwali cuisine. We were so lucky that we didn’t have to go looking for food options.

The local Gharwali cuisine for candle light dinner with the view of the city twinkling in the night was more than what we asked for. Absolutely Loved it.

Not to miss on our small excursion on cycle. This was undoubtedly the best experience I had with Sterling Mussoorie, I so wanted to cycle around in the valleys to feels what its like cycling on clouds and also to burn a bit of calories I gained from eating all that tasty food.

It was a complete pack of experience and adventure. And not just in Mussoorie but I am pretty sure that Sterling has all the local experiences planned at every property along with the beautiful accommodation they offer. You can see from my pictures on blog and on my social media handles (soulfulsafarnama) how much fun I had. I would rate the property and the experience 5 out of 5.

Do visit and experience the blog yourself with Sterling.
